I thought I would do a post on a selection of desks. A previous post had a variety of styles of desks. This time I thought I might go for a variety of desks in the higher price range for this post for Home Office Standing Desks.

I think that sums it up perfectly. Now we have that out of the way, let’s decide what sort of desk we shall talk about and show you.
Standing Desks
Why a standing desk? What are the benefits?
They were designed to help people suffering with a backache from sitting so long. Very often we don’t have the chair or our equipment at the right height, also making shoulders and the neck ache. We tend to sit for so long, sometimes hunched over the screen, forgetting to move, that it’s not surprising our body protests.
A standing desk can be adjusted to accommodate different heights. Many are also able to be used as sitting or standing desks, giving the best of both worlds.
As these are so popular now, I thought I would see what is available in the Standing Desk style.

A nice looking desk with plenty of space for all your equipment. I’m not sure about the claim that it can thin your waistline but the rest are certainly true.
It has a hand crank to adjust the height rather than a motor.

A good selection of good quality desks for your home office. These standing desks are popular, look good as well as doping you good. What more could you ask for in a desk?
If you are going to continue working from home, either for yourself or somepne else, then its important to have a good office set up.
Making the space a pleasant environment to work in, having a comfortable chair for when you are sitting and the right desk to fill your needs, is important. Otherwise you aren’t comfortable and that can affect your work.
My desk has plenty of space for my large A3 printer to my right. My screen and keyboard in front of me, then I have an in tray and my desktop computer box to the left of that. This garden office was purpose built for what I needed for my work, with plenty of shelves and space for supplies needed.
I love my office, it is a peaceful space conducive to work, just as it should be!
I love the concept of standing desks and treadmill desks. If I stand too long, my feet start to hurt, so I tend to prefer a treadmill desk. That keeps my feet moving and they don’t tend to ache at the end of the day.
I’ve very tall. Many of these standing desks are too short for me. Do you have a recommendation for standing desks for tall individuals?
Thank you for commenting Melinda. I can understand the feet aching from standing too long. It is certainly not good for you to stand in the same place for too long. Many do like the ones where you can alternate sitting and standing.

I wasn’t acquainted with standing desks. But now that I have researched a bit about them, I see that they seem to have a lot of health benefits. The biggest two that caught my attention were that it may help to lower our risk of weight
gain and obesity and may also lower our risk of heart disease.

They have been about a while now, my son in law got one last year and found it very good. He is tall and prefers to stand rather than sit most of the time. PLus as he was no longer cycling to and from the train station he decided it would help him healthwise.
Yes it helps with both of those and of course stops the backache that many get from sitting for so long.
Standing desks are such a great invention. Of course you cannot stand 8 hours at work 5 days a week. But from time to time it is so refreshing to stand while working.
Same goes for work and time tracking app. Having the right and refreshing one is important.
They are a good idea. Many people do use them with a treadmill as continual movement is much better for you than standing in one place.
